At this time, Vico Nature cameras cannot be set to record exclusively to an SD card. When motion is detected, the camera will record to the cloud, and if a micro SD card is inserted, a copy will also be saved locally. (Note: Only 4G battery camera do not support cloud recording and save videos solely to the SD card.)
How Recording Works
- Cloud recording starts automatically when motion is detected.
- If a micro SD card is inserted, the same video is also saved locally at the same time.
- The SD card is designed as additional local storage, not a replacement for cloud storage.
Why Cloud Recording Can't Be Turned Off
The system is designed to ensure important events are securely stored and accessible remotely through the Vico Nature app.
All cloud recordings are encrypted during transfer and storage and can only be viewed by authorized accounts.
There is currently no setting to disable cloud recording and use SD card storage only.
How to View SD Card Recordings
- Open the Vico Nature app.
- Go to Library.
- Tap SD Card.
- Select your camera.
- Choose a date and video to play.
