Your camera supports microSD cards for local video storage. This guide walks you through inserting, removing, and preparing your SD card for optimal performance.
Inserting an SD Card
- Locate the SD card slot
The slot is typically positioned near the power button or reset button. Some models may have a rubber or silicone cover—gently open it to access the slot. - Check the orientation
Refer to the orientation icon printed next to the slot. Align the gold contacts of the card according to the diagram. - Insert the card
Gently push the card into the slot until you feel or hear a click, confirming it is securely in place. - Close the cover
If your camera is placed outdoors, make sure the cover is fully closed to maintain its water and dust resistance rating. - Format the card in the app
Open the app and go to Camera Settings > SD Card Management > Format SD Card. Formatting ensures the card is optimized for recording.
Removing an SD Card
- Power off the camera
Turning off the device prevents file corruption and hardware damage. - Locate the SD card slot
If your camera has a rubber or silicone cover, gently lift it to access the slot. - Release the card
Press the card inward until you hear a click. The spring mechanism will push it outward slightly. - Remove the card carefully
Pull the card straight out to avoid damaging the contacts.
Additional Tips
- Check the SD Card Status in the app to confirm the card is detected.
- Avoid frequent insertions and removals to extend the lifespan of the card slot.
- Store removed cards in a protective case to prevent physical damage or static discharge.
