The Awareness Service offers advanced features that enhance your smart home experience. While a subscription is optional, it unlocks premium benefits. The Awareness service is supported on Wi-Fi cameras only. 4G cameras are currently not supported.
This guide will include the following parts:
- Introduction of Awareness Service
- Differences between Single Device and Unlimited Devices Plans
Introduction of Awareness Service
The Awareness Service provides premium features to elevate your smart cameras. Here are the key features:
Extended Video History
- Subscribers benefit from increased cloud storage capacity for video playback, with up to 60 days and 30GB of stored video history, depending on the selected plan.
- Subscribers can customize recording durations to Up to 1 min, Up to 2 min, or Up to 3 min in length, offering a significant advantage for more detailed monitoring.
Disable Cloud Cooldown Time
Subscribers have the exclusive option to significantly reduce or disable the Cloud Cooldown Time. Disabling Cooldown Time effectively eliminates missed detections—especially beneficial in high-activity areas.
Smart Push
The Smart Push feature uses advanced AI algorithms to analyze movements detected by your camera and sends targeted notifications directly to your phone, identifying specific events such as persons, vehicles, pets, packages, and birds—instead of general motion alerts. When such movements are detected, you'll receive precise push notifications (e.g., "Person Detected"), and corresponding icons will appear in the Library, making it easy to quickly identify and review your recordings.
Tips:
- Battery-powered devices can detect all four categories (person, vehicle, pet, and package). In addition to these, the bird feeder devices feature Bird AI technology, which can specifically identify various bird species.
- For plug-in devices, only person and pet alerts are available under the "Notification Settings".
- Even if you select specific alerts (person, pet, vehicle, package, and bird), all movements will still be recorded in the Library, regardless of whether they trigger a notification.
Customizable Activity Zone
Subscribers can define specific activity zones within the camera’s field of view, allowing for more focused monitoring and fewer irrelevant alerts.
Tips:
Movements outside your defined activity zone will still be recorded in the Library, but you'll only receive notifications for events within the zone.
Device Modes: Home, Away, and Disarmed
The Modes feature allows you to control how your cameras behave based on your presence or security needs.
Home Mode
Home Mode minimizes disruptions when you're at home. Motion is detected, and push notifications are sent, but alarms and flashlights are turned off.
Away Mode
Away Mode activates full security. Motion or human activity triggers both notifications and alarms, providing complete protection when you're away.
Disarmed Mode
Disarmed Mode records motion without sending notifications or triggering alarms, offering a quiet, non-intrusive monitoring experience.
