Do Shared Users Get Access to Paid Features?
Yes. When the admin account subscribes to the Vico Nature Awareness service, all shared users linked to the same devices can experience the full range of paid features—without needing to purchase a separate subscription.
These features include:
- AI-based intelligent notifications for person, pet, vehicle, and package detection
- Longer cloud storage retention
- Activity Zone notifications to reduce unwanted alerts
- Extended event recording duration
- Other paid features
These capabilities are applied at the device level, so once a device is covered under a subscription, all users who have access to that device benefit from the enhanced functionality.
What Can’t Shared Users Do?
While shared users can enjoy the benefits of the paid service, they cannot modify any subscription-related or advanced camera settings. Specifically, shared users are not allowed to:
- Set or edit Activity Zones
- Change motion detection sensitivity
- Adjust cloud storage preferences
- Modify recording duration or resolution settings
- Enable/disable detection types (e.g. person, vehicle, etc.)
These permissions are exclusive to the admin account that holds the subscription.
Do I need separate subscriptions for each shared user?
No. Only the admin account needs to purchase the Awareness subscription. All users with shared access to the subscribed device will be able to experience the paid features—but without the ability to configure them.
