Reduce Motion Detection
The PIR sensor triggers recordings when it detects changes such as moving objects, light shifts, or hot/cold air. Frequent triggers may drain the battery quickly.
What you can do:
- Adjust the camera position to avoid false triggers like swaying trees or plants.
- Set Motion Detection Sensitivity to Low or Medium (this shortens the detection range).
- Enable Cool Down Time so the camera won’t record again within the set interval.
- Set recording duration to 10 seconds.
- Switch recording resolution to SD.
- Schedule Sleep Mode during non-working hours (motion detection, notifications, and alarms will pause, saving significant battery life).
Ensure a Stable Wi-Fi Connection
A weak or unstable Wi-Fi signal forces the camera to keep searching for a network, draining battery.
What you can do:
- Place the camera as close as possible to the Wi-Fi router.
- Avoid thick walls, bricks, ceramics, metal objects, or large containers of water between the camera and router.
