The Vico Nature app does not support remotely turning your camera on or off. All power operations, including turning the camera on, must be performed manually on the device itself.
If your camera is turned off, you will need to physically press the power button on the camera to turn it back on. However, some camera types do not have a power button, they automatically power on when connected to power.
Plug-in Camera
- This type of camera does not have a physical power button.
- Connect the camera to a 5V 1.5A power adapter, and plug the adapter into a wall outlet.
- The camera will power on automatically once it receives power.
- Once powered, the camera will automatically turn on with a startup sound. After the camera turns on, the camera will rotate automatically.
Light Bulb Camera
- This type of camera does not have a physical power button.
- Turn off power to the socket before installation.
- Screw the light bulb camera securely into the socket.
- Turn the socket’s power back on, the camera will automatically turn on.
- Once powered, the camera will automatically turn on with a startup sound. After the camera turns on, the light bulb camera will rotate automatically.
Battery-Powered Camera
- Press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds.
- You’ll hear a startup sound once powered.
- The blue indicator light will also turn on.
Outdoor Bird Feeder Camera
- The power button is located on top of the camera body, under the silicone cover, not on the feeder house.
- Press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds to turn on the camera.
- You’ll hear a startup sound and see a blue light once powered.
Doorbell Camera
- To access the power button, remove the top cover of the doorbell first.
- Insert the detaching pin into the hole on the top, press gently, and lift to remove the cover.
- The power button is usually located on the side of the doorbell body.
- Press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds to turn on the camera.
- You’ll hear a startup sound and see a blue light once powered.
Different camera models have different power-on methods. Plug-in and light bulb cameras turn on automatically when powered, while battery-powered, feeder, and doorbell cameras require pressing and holding the power button for several seconds.
