When your camera is in Sleep Mode—either enabled manually or through Schedule Sleep—it stops all live viewing, motion detection, notifications, alarms, and recording.
You can wake the camera at any time from the live view screen, or disable sleep in the settings to keep the camera active.
Understanding Sleep Options
- Sleep Mode: A manual rest mode you turn on immediately. The camera stays asleep until you manually wake it up.
- Schedule Sleep: An automated rest mode that follows a preset schedule. The camera sleeps and wakes up automatically at the times you set.
Wake Up Your Camera
You can wake your camera in two ways:
Method 1 – From the Live View Screen
- Open the Vico Nature app.
- Locate your camera on the Home screen.
- In the live view window, tap the green Wake Up button.
- Wait a few seconds for the camera to reconnect.
Tip: Works for both Sleep Mode and Schedule Sleep—you don’t need to wait for the scheduled wake-up time.
Method 2 – From the Camera Settings
- Open the Vico Nature app.
- Tap your camera’s Settings icon.
- Go to Motion Detection.
- Depending on the mode:
- For Sleep Mode: Turn it off.
- For Schedule Sleep: Turn it off or adjust the schedule.
What Happens in Sleep Mode
While in Sleep Mode or Schedule Sleep:
- Live feed is unavailable.
- Motion detection is paused.
- Push notifications are disabled.
- Camera alarms won’t trigger.
- Recording stops until the camera wakes up.
The camera remains inactive until manually woken up or until its scheduled wake-up time.
