Sleep Mode temporarily pauses your camera's monitoring and recording functions. It's useful when you want to save battery or maintain privacy. While in Sleep Mode, your camera will stop detecting motion, sending notifications, and recording until you manually wake it or until a scheduled wake-up time (if one is set).
How to Manually Enable Sleep Mode
-
Open Camera Settings
- In the app, locate your camera and tap the Settings icon on its thumbnail.
-
Go to Motion Detection
- In the menu, tap Motion Detection.
-
Turn on Sleep Mode
- Find the Sleep option and toggle it on.
-
(Optional) Enable Sleep Mode from Live View
- While viewing the camera's live feed, tap the Sleep icon in the bottom control bar to instantly put the device into sleep mode.
What Happens in Sleep Mode
- Motion detection is turned off.
- No push notifications will be sent.
- Recording and live monitoring are paused.
How to Wake the Camera
- On the Home screen, tap the Wake Up button.
- Or, go to the camera's settings and turn off the Sleep toggle.
Note: Manually enabling Sleep Mode takes effect immediately, even if an automatic sleep schedule is already set.
