How to Set and Manage Preset Positions for Your PTZ Camera

The Position feature allows you to save and quickly return to specific camera angles using your PTZ camera. This is ideal for monitoring key areas without manually adjusting the camera each time.

Note:

• This feature is only available on select PTZ camera models.
• You can save up to 5 preset positions per camera.
• If the camera is moved to a new physical location, saved positions may no longer align correctly.
• You can use this feature even without a paid plan.

How to set a position

1. Open the app and tap the ▷ Play icon to access Live View.
2. Use the PTZ Control Panel (black directional arrows) to move the camera to your desired angle.
3. Tap the Position icon.
4. Tap the “+” icon to create a new position.
5. Enter a name for the position (e.g., Front Door, Backyard).
6. Tap Save to confirm.

Each camera can save up to 5 preset positions.

How to switch to a saved position

1. In Live View, tap the Position icon.
2. A list of saved positions will appear.
3. Tap any saved position.
4. The camera will automatically rotate to that angle.

How to delete a position

1. In Live View, tap the Position icon.
2. Locate the position you want to delete.
3. Tap the Trash Can icon next to it.

How to exit the Position menu

1. From Live View, tap the Position icon to access your saved positions.
2. After you’ve finished setting, switching, or deleting a position, simply tap the “X” icon in the top-right corner.

Additional Tips

• The camera won’t auto-switch between positions—you need to select one manually.
• Use clear names like “Front Door” or “Backyard” for easy access.
• If the camera is moved, saved positions may need to be reset.
• This feature works with or without a subscription.
• Only supported on select PTZ camera models.
