The "Limit Reached" message is a safety feature for your PTZ camera. It appears when the camera reaches the physical limit of its rotation range. In most cases, this is expected behavior and does not indicate a malfunction. This article explains what the message means, when it’s normal, and what steps to take if your camera stops responding as expected.
What does "Limit Reached" mean?
The "Limit Reached" notification is designed to protect the camera’s motor and internal components by stopping rotation when the pan or tilt motion reaches its maximum limit.
This is a normal behavior and typically requires no action from you.
When should I troubleshoot?
You only need to take further steps if:
- The message appears before the camera finishes its normal rotation range
- The camera fails to respond to pan/tilt commands
- The message persists even after restarting or repositioning the device
Troubleshooting Steps
-
Recalibrate the Pan/Tilt System
- Open the Vico Nature app
- Select your camera and tap the Settings icon
- Scroll down to Pan-tilt Setting
- Tap Calibrate to start the recalibration process
-
Restart Your Camera

- For other models: Use the provided pin to press the P button/P hole for 3 seconds, until you hear a chime and see the camera rotate
-
Check for Obstructions
- Gently attempt to rotate the camera head by hand (do not force it)
- Make sure the camera is not installed in a tight space
- Ensure that no objects or surfaces are blocking the pan/tilt path
