1. Symptoms and Causes
You may notice one or more of the following symptoms:
- The camera does not respond when you attempt to pan or tilt.
- The camera only moves in one direction.
- Pan or tilt controls are slow or unresponsive.
2. Troubleshooting Steps
Calibrate the Camera
Calibration resets the pan and tilt range and can resolve most control issues.
- Open the Vico Nature app
- Select your camera
- Go to Camera Setting > Pan-Tilt Setting
- Tap Calibrate and wait for the process to complete
Inspect for Physical Obstructions
Gently attempt to rotate the camera by hand without applying force. Ensure no objects, cables, or parts of the mount are obstructing movement. The mechanism should move freely and without resistance.
Restart Your Camera
- For plug-in models: Unplug the camera, wait for 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Press and hold the Reset button for 5 seconds.
- For light bulb cameras: Power off the camera, then locate the Reset button inside the microSD card slot. Press and hold it for 5 seconds to reset the device.
- For other models: Use the provided pin to press the P button/P hole for 1-3 seconds, until you hear a chime and see the camera rotate
