Some devices include a QR code that contains the device model and serial number (S/N). While this QR code is not required to add or use your device, it can be helpful in certain situations.
When You May Need the QR Code
- During Setup: If the app cannot recognize your device automatically, it may prompt you to scan the QR code. This allows the app to confirm your device model and guide you to the correct setup tutorial.
- When Submitting Feedback: The app may ask you to scan the QR code so our support team can quickly identify your device. This helps reduce back-and-forth communication and allows us to resolve your issue more efficiently.
Where to Find the QR Code
- On most devices, the QR code is located on the bottom, top, or back of the unit.
- On some devices, you may need to remove the back cover to locate the QR code.
If Your Device Has No QR Code
The QR code may become difficult to read or completely unreadable over time due to wear or damage. This will not affect your ability to add or use the device.
If you would like to confirm your device information, please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you.
Tip: We recommend keeping a record of your device’s serial number (S/N) in case the QR code becomes unreadable in the future.
