If your camera doesn't turn on, follow the steps below to identify and resolve the issue.
Step 1: Verify Your Charger and Cable
- Use a charger that delivers at least 5V/1.5A. Chargers below this rating may not provide sufficient power.
- Confirm that the charging cable is securely connected to both the power source and your camera’s charging port.
- Observe the charging indicator:
- Solid amber/ orange/ yellow = charging
- Solid green = fully charged
- If the battery is fully depleted, allow up to 10 hours of uninterrupted charging.
Avoid using low-power charging ports (e.g., on laptops or some power banks), as they may not provide a stable current.
Step 2: Check All Power Connections
- Unplug and firmly reconnect all cables.
- Ensure the charging port is clean and free of dust or debris.
- If you're using a solar panel or power adapter, we recommend switching to a 5V/1.5A charger for more stable power supply and higher charging efficiency.
Step 3: Reboot the Camera While Charging
While the camera is connected to power:
- Locate the Reboot hole/button (sometimes labeled P hole, reboot, or reset).
- Insert a small tool or pin and press the reset hole once (no need to hold).
- After rebooting, observe whether the device indicator turns solid blue and whether a startup sound (usually “Ding Dong”) is heard, which typically indicates that the camera is powering on successfully.
Step 4: If the Camera Still Doesn’t Power On
If none of the steps above resolve the issue:
- The camera may require further evaluation.
- Before reaching out to our support team, please prepare the following:
- A photo showing your charger’s power specifications
- A short video demonstrating the reset attempt and the camera’s response (if any)
- The serial number of your device (usually found on the product label or packaging)
- Any relevant information such as whether:
- The issue occurred suddenly or since first use
- The device has experienced any drops, physical impact, or signs of water exposure
