Check Your Active Awareness Subscription
AI features may require an active Awareness Subscription. Verify that your subscription is active to ensure all functionalities are enabled.
Ensure Your App and Camera Firmware are Up to Date
Make sure you are using the latest version of the app and that your camera’s firmware is up to date. Outdated software can cause issues with AI recognition.
Confirm Recording Settings
Make sure the camera is set to record correctly. Check that motion detection is properly enabled and configured to detect the right areas and movements.
Evaluate Image Quality
- Blurry Images: Ensure the camera lens is clean and free of obstructions like dust or water droplets. Blurry images can significantly affect AI recognition.
- Backlighting or Uneven Exposure: Strong backlighting or uneven lighting can impair recognition. Adjust the camera’s position to avoid direct sunlight or poorly lit areas.
Optimize Camera Angle
A poorly positioned camera can result in missed or inaccurate recognitions. Adjust the camera’s angle to ensure it has a clear line of sight to the objects it needs to detect.
Eliminate Object Overlap or Obstructions
When objects are overlapping or partially obstructed, it can confuse the AI. Ensure key objects in the scene are not blocked, especially moving targets, to help improve recognition accuracy.
Handle Similar Objects in the Scene
AI can sometimes struggle to differentiate between objects that have similar colors, shapes, or sizes. If multiple objects in the scene share these characteristics, misidentifications may occur. To improve accuracy, adjust the camera’s field of view to minimize these similarities.
Report Misidentifications
If AI misidentifies an object, you can submit feedback directly within the app. Select the "Send Feedback" option beneath the video in question, then choose the correct identification. This helps improve the accuracy of future AI algorithms.
