You can change your subscription plan at any time. This article explains what happens to your current plan when you switch — and why you won’t be charged twice.
If You Upgrade to a Higher Plan
You can upgrade (e.g., from Single Device to Unlimited Devices) directly in the app. You do not need to cancel your existing plan.
What happens depends on your platform:
- On iOS (Apple):
- Your current plan ends immediately.
- Apple refunds any unused time to your Apple ID balance.
- The new plan takes effect right away.
- On Android (Google):
- The new plan takes effect immediately after you upgrade.
- Your remaining subscription time is applied toward the new plan.
- You won't be charged again until your original billing date.
- On your next billing date, the new plan will be charged and regular billing begins.
You will not be charged twice. Only one active subscription is allowed per account. Any unused value is automatically refunded or applied based on platform policy.
To upgrade your plan:
Open the VicoHome app → Go to VicoHome Awareness → Tap Change Plan → Choose your new plan → Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the switch.
If You’re Downgrading
If you want to switch from a higher-tier plan (such as Unlimited Devices) to a lower-tier plan (such as Single Device), we recommend canceling your current subscription first. After the current billing period ends, you can subscribe to the new plan in the app.
- This helps prevent overlapping charges and avoids potential access issues.
- Once the existing subscription has expired, you can start a new plan at any time.
You will not be charged twice. Only one active subscription is allowed per account. On iOS, any unused time is automatically refunded. On Android, the remaining time from your current plan is carried over, and billing for the new plan begins on your original billing date.
