What Is the IPC Hotspot Network
The IPC hotspot network (named "IPC_XXXX") is a temporary network created by your camera during the setup process. This is not an error, it's part of the normal connection procedure.
Understanding the IPC Network
- The "IPC_XXXX" network appears during camera setup and is generated by the camera itself
- You don't need a password for this temporary network
- Simply follow the on-screen instructions in the app to connect to this network
- The app will automatically guide you through the process
Important: Only some VicoHome camera models support this feature. If your camera does not show the “IPC_XXXX” network during setup, this method is not available for your camera.
How to Connect to the IPC Hotspot and Complete Setup
- Put camera in pairing mode: Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds until you hear "Ding Dong Ding Dong" sound and see flashing blue light
- Open the VicoHome app and tap "Add a new device"
- Follow app instructions: When you see the IPC_XXXX network appear, select it as directed
- Complete the setup: The app will handle the connection to this temporary network automatically
