How many users can watch the camera live View at the same time?
While you can share your camera with many different users, only 3 users can watch the live view simultaneously. This is a system limitation designed to ensure optimal performance and prevent network overload.
What are the requirements for sharing cameras?
- Same country/region registration: Both the camera owner and shared users must have registered their accounts in the same country or region
- Account limitations: One account can only be logged in on one phone at a time.
- Network requirements: All users need stable internet connections for live streaming
What can shared users do?
Shared users have limited permissions compared to the camera owner:
Shared users CAN:
- Watch live streams (when within the 3-user limit)
- View cloud recordings in the Library and access SD card backup videos
- Receive motion detection notifications
Shared users CANNOT:
- Manage camera settings (motion detection, light/audio settings)
- Delete cloud recordings and SD card videos
- Change camera configurations
Why is there a 3-user simultaneous limit?
This limitation exists to:
- Prevent network bandwidth overload
- Ensure stable live view performance for all users
- Maintain optimal camera functionality
- Reduce the risk of connection failures during peak usage
If more than 3 users try to access the live stream simultaneously, additional users will need to wait until others disconnect before they can view the live view.
