If you're having trouble creating a VicoHome account, don't worry—most registration issues can be resolved with a few quick steps. This guide walks you through the most common causes and how to fix them.
1. Issues with the Country/Region Field
If the country/region field displays “Request timed out” or doesn’t allow you to select a region:
- Make sure any VPN or proxy services are turned off.
- Try switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data, or connect to a different Wi-Fi network.
- Turn off both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth completely, and register using mobile data only.
- Restart your phone and reinstall the VicoHome app.
2. Didn’t Receive the Verification Code?
If you're not receiving the verification email:
- Check your spam or junk folders. Search for the subject line: “Sign up for a VicoHome account.”
- Make sure support@vicohome.io is not blocked in your email settings.
- Double-check the email address you entered during registration.
- If the issue persists, try registering with an alternative email address—preferably from a widely supported provider such as Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo.
- Please note: verification codes expire after 15 minutes.
3. The Sign-Up Process Freezes or Keeps Loading
If the registration screen becomes unresponsive:
- Force close and relaunch the VicoHome app.
- Restart your phone completely.
- Uninstall and reinstall the app.
- Try again during non-peak hours.
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see if connectivity improves.
4. Network-Related Troubleshooting
Certain network settings may affect the registration process. Try the following:
- Avoid using public or corporate Wi-Fi; switch to a private mobile data connection if possible.
- Temporarily disable any VPNs, proxies, or security software.
- Try connecting to another Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure your connection is stable and has sufficient signal strength.
5. Still Unable to Register?
If you've tried all of the above but are still unable to create an account:
- Try registering from a different device (for example, switch from phone to tablet).
- Consider using an email account from a different provider, such as Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo
- Attempt registration at a different time of day—server load can vary.
- Contact our support team with a screen recording of your registration attempt, especially the point where the failure occurs. This can help us diagnose the issue more effectively.
