If your camera's image looks blurry, dark, or unclear in low-light environments, try the following methods to enhance clarity and performance.
Enable Auto Night Vision
- Open the app and go to your camera's Settings
- Tap Video Settings
- Turn on Auto Night Vision
- Choose between:
- Black & White Mode – Uses infrared light for clearer images in dark environments
- Color Mode – Uses white light triggered by motion to capture color footage
Optimize the Lighting Conditions
- Avoid placing the camera in overly bright or completely pitch-dark areas
- Night vision works best when there's some soft ambient light present
- Keep the camera away from reflective surfaces or direct light sources
Clean the Camera Lens
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the lens
- Remove any dust, fingerprints, or smudges that may blur the image
Adjust the Resolution Settings
- Go to Settings → Video Settings → Recording Resolution
- Choose the highest available resolution (such as HD or 2K) for sharper images
Address Fog or Moisture
- If the image appears foggy or cloudy:
- Move the camera to a dry, well-ventilated indoor area for 1–2 days
- Avoid mounting the camera in locations with high humidity or poor airflow
- Consider using a protective cover if used outdoors
Update the Firmware
- Go to Settings → ">" → Firmware Update
- Make sure the camera is running the latest firmware to benefit from ongoing improvements
Reboot the Camera
- For battery-powered cameras: Use the included pin to gently press the P-hole (reset hole/P button/reset button) for 1–2 seconds.
- For plug-in cameras: Unplug the power adapter, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in to reboot the device.
