If you insert a Micro SD card and see the message: “Please use the app to format your SD card first.” It means the card is not in FAT32 format, which is the only file system your camera supports.
Before You Begin
- Formatting will erase all data on the card. Please back up any important files before proceeding.
- Use a Micro SD card that meets your camera’s specifications:
- Capacity: up to 128 GB (recommend 8 GB–64 GB for optimal stability)
- Speed Class: Class 10 or higher
- File System: FAT32
- Make sure your camera is powered on and connected to the app.
Format the Card in the App
- In the app, tap the Settings icon

- Tap SD Card Management.
- Tap Format and confirm.
- Wait until the formatting process completes, then check if the card is ready for use.
If Formatting Fails in the App
You can also format the card using a computer and a card reader:
- Insert the Micro SD card into the card reader.
- On your computer, format it to FAT32 (this is required for the camera to recognize the card).
