If your cloud recording ends while people, animals, or objects are still moving, the most common causes are network interruptions, motion detection settings, or camera positioning.
Why It Happens
-
Weak or Unstable Wi-Fi
Cloud recordings are uploaded in real time. Network instability or brief interruptions may cause the upload to time out, resulting in incomplete recordings.
-
Low Motion Detection Sensitivity
Small or slow movements may not be detected, causing the system to assume motion has ended.
-
Slow or Edge-of-Frame Movement
The PIR sensor may lose detection if motion is too slow or occurs at the very edge of the camera’s view.
-
Outdated Firmware or App
Older versions may cause inconsistent motion tracking or recording stability.
How to Fix It
-
Check Wi-Fi Signal Strength
- In the app, confirm the camera shows Strong signal.
- Move the router closer or reduce interference.
-
Increase Motion Detection Sensitivity
- Go to Camera Setting > Motion Detection > Detection Sensitivity and set it to High.
- Position the camera about 7 ft (2.1 m) high, angled 10-15° downward.
-
Test Continuous Motion
- Walk steadily across the view for 30+ seconds and check the clip length.
-
Update Firmware and App
- Install the latest versions from the app and app store.
-
Compare With SD Card Recordings
- If SD card video is complete but cloud video is shorter, it’s likely a network upload issue.
-
Send Feedback to Support
- Open the affected video, tap Send Feedback, and our team will review the motion detection and upload logs.
Tips for Best Results
- Keep the detection area clear and well lit.
- Use High sensitivity for critical monitoring.
- Paid plan users can disable Cool Down Time to avoid gaps in continuous activity.
